Behavioural objects in the home: laying the foundations

The connected home framework provides an ecosystem of connected objects, giving access to data on energy, security, and comfort in the home. Voice-activated virtual assistants are a recent addition to this ecosystem. This research focuses on what would happen if an animated object were introduced—in addition to the objects already present in the households—and what impact it might have on the inhabitants of the household in question.
