Spotlight on Orange’s Research

Research in fields associated with network operator activity makes it possible to envisage technological developments with positive consequences.

When working to develop network technologies, Orange researchers carefully consider the consequences this will have on the human race, communities and the planet.

Over 700 Orange researchers are working with researchers from around the world to build a better future.

This exploration of future technologies is embodied by various 6G and quantum communication experiments, as well as research on topics such as AI, VR and the IoT. Over 700 Orange researchers are working with researchers from around the world to build a better future.

The Flux Logistique (“Logistics Flow”) project is a prime example. This observatory aims to establish an inventory of goods transport flows throughout the country in near real time, which will make it possible to reduce empty runs.

Another example: Researchers model the environmental impacts of network equipment from a multitude of data to extract recommendations.

Thanks to researchers and inventors, Orange currently has a portfolio of more than 9000 patents to protect its innovations.
