The use of social robots in mental health: what ethical issues?

The promise of social robotics is that, in the near future, we will be able to have a lasting personal relationship with robots designed to “be with us” according the American anthropologist Sherry Turkle [1], to interact with human beings. However, the gap between that dream and reality remains wide.
