• With many applications, this solution boosts speed, efficiency, comfort and reliability for professionals in the field.
Vyntelligence (or Vyn, short for ‘Video your notes’) allows workers to film what they would otherwise have had to put in writing. The app, available in 10 languages, has been developed by humanLearning, supported by Orange Fab’s Women Start acceleration program dedicated to female entrepreneurs.
A Video Is Worth a Thousand Words
This platform for recording short videos with commentaries allows a field operation to be captured in the form of a video clip or “vyn.” The user is guided by a list of predefined questions to ensure that these videos, lasting from a few seconds to a few minutes, are relevant and actionable. Why? The information, processes and work situations captured by these mini-clips can be difficult to convey in reports made up of just filled-out forms or photos. But with this method, remote supervisors can comprehend the complexity of certain field operations and monitor the quality of facilities and maintenance work. For example, Vyntelligence can be used in an outsourced optical fiber rollout to identify and correct quality issues as quickly as possible while avoiding unnecessary travel.

Once recorded, the vyns are centralized in a platform that analyzes them and creates tags to facilitate their classification and any subsequent searches. Authorized users (site managers, safety managers, etc.) can then view and collaborate on these video reports.
A Fresh Approach to Customer Support
As well as production, the tool also adds value in terms of team health and safety. Emmanuel Schneider, VP Sales Europe of Vyntelligence explains: “Asking workers to record a video in which they describe their work, the risks and the controls they implement, positively changes their relationship to risk and makes them more vigilant.”
“This solution,” says Fanny Medina, Head of Business Development at Orange, “will save field engineers time on their reports. It harmonizes all reports so that they are clear and useful. Indeed, a law is currently being debated that could make it mandatory to standardize reports and to audit interventions. And finally, whatever the format, Vyntelligence can be integrated into our IT systems and used by our internal training bodies to help these same engineers learn and develop.”
Vyntelligence sets itself apart with the variety of functional use cases for its solution. The tool can also be used by residential customers. For them, video offers a new contact media, instead of phone calls or emails, that allows them to explain complex events more precisely, such as damage caused by a water leak or a problem with an appliance. The customer’s video is then categorized and directed to the right teams via AI/ML. Customer support becomes faster, smarter and more efficient!
