Orange OpenTech set the innovation ecosystem buzzing!

Three intense days, inspiring conversations, and innovations that truly transform—because for us, innovation must first and foremost create sustainable, shared value that drives progress. This edition also celebrated research and scientific excellence.

Orange OpenTech demonstrated that when innovation is open, responsible, and collaborative, it becomes a powerful driver of value creation for its customers, partners, and society as a whole.

Together, we are committed to turning every breakthrough into tangible, sustainable, and shared progress.

That is the spirit of Unleash the Value!

Bruno’s message

“In a world where generative AI is evolving at a dizzying speed, where agentic AI raises crucial questions, and quantum technologies are challenging our ability to secure our data in the long term, innovation is accelerating. In this context, Orange has two strong convictions that we share on the occasion of Orange OpenTech. On the one hand, we must place value creation and progress at the center of the innovation process, which requires a clear vision of opportunities and risks. On the other hand, Orange’s scientific excellence and research capabilities are substantial assets in this context.”

[Keynote] Transformation (FR) - Reinventing our ways of working: the true challenge beyond AI

Sophie Brafman talks with Remy Oudghiri, sociologist and CEO of Sociovision, Marc-Eric Bobillier Chaumon, director of the Chair of Work Psychology at Cnam, Vincent Lecerf, executive director in charge of human resources at Orange Group, and Ilhem Alleaume, scientific advisor at the High Commission for Strategy and Planning, on reinventing work in companies with AI and beyond.

Remy Oudghiri, sociologist and CEO of Sociovision, notes the massive and unprecedented adoption of AI (for personal and professional use), including as a “waiting room” in the face of a shortage of healthcare provision.

Marc-Eric Bobillier Chaumon, director of the Chair of Work Psychology at the CNAM, makes several observations:
– “paradox of imaginary efficiency”: “by eliminating low-level tasks, I am left with only high-level tasks, requiring much greater commitment”
– “prescription of subjectivity” with new expectations and demands
– “Isolation at work with AI”: “Instead of turning to colleagues to avoid expressing fragility or weakness, individuals seeking solutions will turn to AI to find a solution, thereby cutting themselves off from others.”
The solution: “AI that supports them in their work, where they always feel they have authority in their work.”

Vincent Lecerf, Executive Director of Human Resources at Orange Group, explains the company’s investment in training staff to use these tools: “We have trained 70,000 people in generative AI.” One successful use case involves assisting customer service representatives, enabling them to provide faster service while retaining control.

Ilhem Alleaume, scientific advisor to the High Commissioner for Strategy and Planning, notes:
“The dynamics of acculturation and training will allow us to see the true added value in various sectors.”
“In France, 25% of users are using AI,” according to a new study by the European Union.
